of your team competing back to back on TUESDAY EVENING, WEDNESDAY EVENING,
THURSDAY AT 4PM and FRIDAY AT 11:45AM, not all divisions will be starting
with the selected “letter” of the day |

Performance number and order will
be posted on the wall WEDNESDAY noon outside Monogram Room and copies
available (while supply lasts) inside the Monogram Room. This will help you
as a team director to have your team ready for their performance. |
Twirling Teams |
To help eliminate the possibility
of your team competing in 2 lanes at the same time, each division will be
starting with a different letter in the alphabet. Directors and team
captains should look on the outside wall of the Monogram Room and inside the
Monogram Room on WEDNESDAY for the posting of the Lane Assignments and
Alphabet Letter assigned to each Twirl Team Division. |
CHECK-IN |
SOUND CHECK All directors who are planning to use the house system may do a sound check. Morning Competition = 7:20am to 7:55am Afternoon Competition = 40 minutes prior to contest time Evening Competition = 40 minutes prior to contest time Note – Thursday’s Dance Twirl Team Contest in the Arena will be continuous therefore music sound checks must be done between 7:20 and 7:55am. All directors planning to use their own system are asked to do their sound check BEFORE CHECK-IN BEGINS. Please be aware of the excessive volume penalty. |
CONTEST PROCEDURE Performance order will also be posted in contest area before each contest. Tapes are to be brought to the Contest Director’s Table 2 numbers prior to their performance. ALL TAPES MUST BE CUED. If rewinding or other adjustment is necessary, judges may access a penalty for a delay of the contest. |

TEAMS For the safety of all AYOP Team competitors, we ask that one or two non-competing members be on the floor immediately following your performance to pick up any loose steamers that fall out of your team’s pom poms. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in making the performance area for all teams. |
ADVANCED DANCE-TWIRL TEAMS & |
All advanced Dance-twirl Team and Twirling Team Awards will be presented on SATURDAY morning at the USA Nation-World Grand Team Finals. Ten places will be awarded in each division. |
TINY TOT & JUVENILE DANCE TWIRL TEAMS and TWIRLING TEAMS |
Tiny Tot and Juvenile Dance-Twirl Teams and Twirling Teams compete one time
for USA NATIONAL/WORLD OPEN placement. At the conclusion of each ADVANCED Tiny Tot and Juvenile division, the "Top 10" will be announced in no particular order. Placement results and awards for the Tiny Tot and Juvenile Dance Twirl Teams and Twirling Teams will be presented on Saturday morning at the Grand Team Finals. Teams not placing in the "TOP 10" may pick up score sheets in the Monogram Room at the conclusion of the daily competitions. Each "TOP 10" ADVANCED Tiny Tot and Juvenile Dance Twirl Team and Twirling Team is asked to have two representatives per team in costume to participate in the GRAND TEAM FINALS PARADE OF CHAMPIONS and for the PRESENTATION OF AWARDS. Your Tiny Tot and Juvenile representatives need to report to the field house behind the portable bleachers Saturday morning at 8:45am. The ADVANCED FIRST PLACE TINY TOT and JUVENILE WINNERS will be performing an exhibition at the Grand Team Finals. |
JUNIOR & SENIOR DANCE TWIRL TEAMS and TWIRLING TEAMS |
PRELIMINARY COMPETITIONS are held for each Junior and Senior Advanced
Dance-Twirl Teams and Twirling Team division. FIVE finalists will be
selected from each division to advanced to the GRAND TEAM FINALS. Special note: An Advanced Junior or Senior Dance Twirl Team division with over 40 competing teams (not number entered, but number of dance twirl teams performing on the competition floor.) will have TEN (10) highest dance twirl teams to qualify for the Grand Team Finals. At the conclusion of each PRELIMINARY COMPETITIONS FOR JUNIOR AND SENIOR ADVANCED DANCE TWIRL AND TWIRLING TEAMS, the award winning "Top 10" will be announced in no particular order and the team captain from the Top 5 teams will be called forward to draw for their competing position for Saturday's Grand Team Finals. All other score sheets may be picked in the Monogram Room at the conclusion of the daily competitions. Each "TOP 10" ADVANCED JUNIOR AND SENIOR Dance Twirl Team and Twirling Team is asked to have two representatives per team in costume to participate in the GRAND TEAM FINALS PARADE OF CHAMPIONS and for the PRESENTATION OF AWARDS. Report behind the portable bleachers in the fieldhouse Saturday at 12:00 noon. GRAND TEM FINAL PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE: A time schedule for Junior and Senior Team Finals performances and awards will be posted on the wall outside the Monogram Room and inside the Monogram Room by Friday at 1pm. |
BEGINNER DANCE-TWIRL TEAMS & |
All Beginner Dance-twirl Team and Twirling Team Awards will be designated as the AYOP BEGINNER Champions. Ten places will be awarded in each division. At the conclusion of each competition, the first 10 places will be announced. After the AWARD WINNING TEAM has been announced, ALL AWARDS and score sheets may be picked up in the Monogram Room. All first place BEGINNER champions will be recognized at the GRAND TEAM FINALS on Saturday morning. Please stand when your team's name is announced. |

HALF-TIME SHOW TEAMS |
At the conclusion of each competition, the AWARD WINNING TEAMS will be
announced. All awards and score sheets may be picked up in the
Monogram Room. The "new" Beth Wilson Artistic Achievement Award will be presented to a Junior or Senior Half-Time Show Twirl Team on Saturday morning at the Grand Team Finals. The USA National/Open Primary, Junior, Senior and College Half-Time Show Twirl Team Champions will perform at the Grand Team Finals on Saturday morning and be presented the renowed Dynasty Trophies. Please note your performance times on the Grand Team Final schedule. It will be posted on the outside wall of the Monogram Room and inside the Monogram Room, Friday at 1pm. |

World Championships in Belgium 2009 |
A NBTA USA Team will be traveling to Belgium in 2009 for NBTA's World
Championships. This week 5 teams will be selected as members of our
